Vol. 164: Shrek

The theme of camp this week....is Shrek.

Hello from Shrek Week. And yes, I recently saw that written and thought it said “Shark Week.” Shark Week sounds like a fun theme for a children’s theatre summer camp, too.

If you are new to #MCM, welcome! This is my weekly newsletter that I publish every Monday that either I write or I have a pal write. It almost always follows the same format. Three notable exceptions are:

Also, this one was technically in the format but I wrote it all in haiku which was very cool and impressive of me.

I went to a 5:45 am Barre class this morning and bragged about it all day at work!!!!!!

What’s crushing me

I am extremely fortunate to have two shows coming up that I get to work on, but in the meantime, it’s very hard for me not to be actively working on or towards something.

I love the creativity and teamwork and collaboration and GOAL of working on a show. Plus it’s just so much fun!!!!

When I’m not working on something or towards something, I find myself getting lonely and listless. I am trying hard not to descend into the loneliness and listlessness³ but it is so easy to do. So simple to slip into the despair.

What I’m crushing on

Not feeling super passionate about anything these days tbh!

Wish I had something⁴ to crush on but I am coming up short.

I ate this Amy’s mac & cheese bowl for dinner, so that’s the closest thing I have to a crush at the moment.
